Unbreak My Heart

When did you start accepting murder? When did you become perfectly comfortable voting for a political party that murders? Surely you were not raised to accept and embrace murdering?

Think of someone you love dearly, your mother for instance. What is the worst thing someone could do to her? Yes, murder her is the most likely answer. It doesn’t matter where you come from, whether you are American, Irish, or Peruvian, Black, White, or Hispanic. To have your mother be murdered would be the worst possible thing that could happen in your life.
The murderer is someone bad, so this is not someone you would support or enable in any way, right? But if you are like most American voters, that is exactly what you are doing. 95% of the voters in the 2016 election voted Democrat or Republican. You are breaking my heart. 95% of us supported dropping a bomb on someone’s mother while she was walking home from the market with groceries. You are breaking my heart. 95% of voted for a political party that supports operations that sends a missile through the kitchen window and kills an African Mother while she is doing the evening’s dishes. You are breaking my heart.
So how did 95% of my fellow Americans get to be this way? We are suckers for good marketing. That breaks my heart. The sizzle-loaded slogans and titles got us good: national security, homeland defense, terrorists, terrorism, the war on terrorism, patriotism, support the troops, and all the sexy operation names (Desert Shield, Desert Storm, Gothic Serpent). The MIC (military industrial complex) is good, real good. That branding makes it hard for you to be against. I call bullsh*t on it all.
All that you need to do is go to the proven, documented outcome, a Mother is going to get murdered. When you vote for either old party (Republican or Democrat, it doesn't matter which) you are voting for a lovely hillside family picnic in Colombia to be busted up by a US bomb blowing them all to tiny, tiny, bits. You are breaking my heart. Once you accept that murder is the outcome of voting for either of the bomb parties, then you have seen the light and the propaganda just becomes silly noise. There is no way you are going to support murder.
I am a patriot, and I believe almost all of us are. I love my country, and that is what patriots do, love their country. This patriot doesn’t love his government though, and that is a huge point. Mark Twain said, “Patriotism is supporting your country all the time, and your government when it deserves it.” Love your country, not the government, especially this two-party sh*t show that has been in place for way too long. Once we are a Libertarian led government (delusional, I know), a government that adheres to the non-aggression policy (NAP), then perhaps this particular patriot will be able to say he loves his county AND his government.
Start opposing murder today – change your voter registration to Libertarian, and start voting Libertarian in every election, so mothers all around the world will no longer be murdered by our government.
